Mexican Cinema
In the 1970's, in Mexican neighborhoods across Texas, garages and tents served as temporary movie houses. Mexican cinema from the 1940's and 50's were shown on white walls or sheets and patrons sat on benches or floors. This poster is of a classic horror film circa 1947. The image of the main actors is from the original poster designed by Juanino Renau Berenguer (1910 – 1989).
